• Scale that matches prehistoric dragonflies; the dragonfly below is the largest of it's genus with a 3-foot wingspan
• Use recycled materials - creativity and imagination
• Correct anatomical parts to scale if possible
• Ensure that your dragonfly can be hung up as if in flight!

Prehistoric Dragonflies

Meganeura (see below) is a genus of extinct ​insects from the Late Carboniferous period (over 300 million years ago). There are other species, but the Meganeura was the largest. If you would like to base your sculpture on a different species of prehistoric dragonfly, please feel free, but research it's dimensions and build it to those dimensions.
